one of the main things for me is to help make the transition run smoothly. host: what exactly can you do as a member of congress to assist your district? guest: i really think we need to encourage these kinds of new jobs. we are not going to see a very large business move into central new york suddenly or peoria, for that matter, or any. in the country but we could grow organically our own small businesses. you recently had a jump in the call in from i think the seattle, washington, area. those kinds of start-ups. we do have a lot here. i have been supporting both in terms of getting federal money -- also in terms of other kinds of support, green business incubators. those are the kinds of things we can do. green universities, from the campus of syracuse. we have the state school of environmental science and forestry, the best in the world. we have all sorts of educational institutions. even our community colleges. the spinoffs from the students and faculties are really creating the kind of business that will take us into the future. what i tried to do is he

this was the bush family in maine. i took a family photo every year. it was just a lot of fun. you can see on the left. jeb and his family, laura and george. now when you go there, they have a sign that says, morning, -- warning, preisden -- president on segue. this was at the president's house and then with the grandchildren at the oval office. one of the key things to the bush family is family, faith, and friends. i saw that over and over again over the many years. george bush was an integral part of the federal government as cia director, congressman, vice president, president. the mass of people that he got to know and be loyal to -- we were walking down the hall. there was one guy standing on the side and the president stopped to go over and greet the janitor who used to clean his office when he was at the un. that is what we always saw in him.
